This one-of-a-kind statement chest from the Villa Obscura Collection, the Imperial Garden Chest has been thoughtfully reimagined with hand-painted chinoiserie-inspired details, rich mahogany-toned finishes, gilded accents, and a black marble top. Delicate birds and botanical motifs unfold across the drawer fronts, creating the feeling of an heirloom collected through generations rather than manufactured for a showroom.

A black marble top adds weight and sophistication, while white veins in the marble and gold drawer and wood applique details provide contrast and warmth in gold throughout the piece.

Designed for collectors, designers, and those who favor interiors that feel curated rather than decorated, the Imperial Garden Chest works beautifully as a bedroom dresser, entryway statement piece, or accent chest in a living space. I personally staged it in my own home because I am exceptionally fond of it :-)

This is an original, hand-finished piece and may retain subtle character marks consistent with its vintage history, adding to its uniqueness and charm.

Marble Top Condition:

The marble top tells part of this piece's story. Rather than conceal its history, I've included unedited natural-light photographs so you can see the marble exactly as it appears in person.

Expect visible surface scratches, wear, and natural marble veining. A small crack along the edge has been repaired and stabilized. The repair is secure, and the marble remains fully functional and ready for everyday use.

I believe in documenting pieces honestly, so the photographs of the marble top reflect the marble's true condition without enhancement or editing other than background removal.
